How to use paramountplus.com/activate to sign in on a TV, which page to use if Xfinity, Spectrum, T-Mobile or Apple bills you, and what to check when the code fails.

paramountplus.com/activate is where you link a TV, streaming stick or console to your Paramount+ account. Open the Paramount+ app on the TV, choose Sign In, then pick the option to sign in on the web. The TV shows an activation code. On your phone or computer, go to paramountplus.com/activate, sign in to Paramount+, type the code, and the TV finishes signing in on its own.

Paramount+ also has device-specific versions of the page, such as paramountplus.com/activate/samsungtv and paramountplus.com/activate/firetv. Each one asks for the code you see on that device’s screen. If you got Paramount+ through Xfinity, Spectrum, T-Mobile or Apple TV Channels, the route is a little different, and that’s where most sign-in trouble starts.

Real activation problems people post about

Code accepted, but the TV still says no access

An Apple Community thread describes a common trap. The poster subscribed through Apple, the activation page reported success, yet the Apple TV showed “YOU DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO PARAMOUNT+ WITHIN YOUR SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGE.” The suggestion from another member: when you pay through Apple TV Channels, watch inside Apple’s TV app (side menu or Channels & Apps), not the standalone Paramount+ app. That thread closed without a confirmed fix, so if it still fails, the subscription and the login likely don’t match.

“Which code? I just want to watch on my Apple TV”

In another Apple Community question, someone with a free Paramount+ trial from a new iPhone was hunting for an “activation code” for Apple TV. The answer: if you didn’t subscribe through the TV app, download the Paramount+ app on the Apple TV and sign in there with the same account.

Xfinity customers who can’t find Xfinity as a provider

A December 2024 Xfinity Community thread started with a QR code that showed nothing and an activation code the Paramount+ provider pages wouldn’t take. Xfinity staff explained that the Paramount+ and Showtime live channels in a cable package are separate from the Paramount+ app, which is billed on its own. In a second Xfinity thread, a forum expert repeated that no Xfinity TV package includes Paramount+ streaming.

Spectrum TV Select and “your package doesn’t support Paramount+”

On the Spectrum Community, a TV Select customer hit exactly that message. Spectrum moderators pointed to Spectrum’s own activation link instead of the Paramount+ site. One customer only got past an “invalid credentials” error after deleting the Paramount+ app from their phone. Others in the thread never got it working, so treat that as a maybe, not a sure fix.

How to use paramountplus.com/activate, step by step

These steps cover smart TVs, streaming sticks and consoles where you subscribed directly with Paramount+. Button names can vary a little between devices; the Xfinity version of the app, for example, labels the two choices On my TV and On the Web.

  1. Install and open the Paramount+ app on your TV or streaming device.
  2. Select Sign In.
  3. Choose the web option (On the Web or similar). An activation code and a web address appear on screen. Leave this screen open.
  4. On a phone, tablet or computer, open a browser and type the address the TV shows, usually paramountplus.com/activate or a device version like paramountplus.com/activate/lg or paramountplus.com/activate/androidtv.
  5. Sign in with the email and password of your Paramount+ account.
  6. Enter the code exactly as the TV shows it, then confirm.
  7. Look back at the TV. It should show a confirmation and drop you into the app.

Don’t want to juggle two devices? Pick the on-TV option in step 3 and type your email and password with the remote instead. It’s slower to type but needs no code.

Activating through a provider or carrier

If someone else bills you for Paramount+, start from their link, not from paramountplus.com/activate. Here’s how the main ones differ as of October 2026:

Where Paramount+ comes from Where to activate
Paramount+ directly paramountplus.com/activate (or the device page your TV names)
Xfinity (X1, Xumo Stream Box, Flex) Choose On the Web in the app, then enter the code at paramountplus.com/xfinity, per Xfinity support
Spectrum TV Select Spectrum’s own activation link (spectrum.com/cp/plus-activation), as moderators advised in the Spectrum Community
T-Mobile T Life app or T-Mobile.com: Manage add-ons, then the Activation Hub and Activate Paramount+, per T-Mobile support
Apple TV Channels Watch inside Apple’s TV app, signed in with the same Apple Account

T-Mobile adds a catch worth knowing before you start: if you already pay Paramount+ directly, cancel that subscription first and wait for the billing cycle to end, or you can end up paying twice.

Code not working? Check these first

Most failed activations come down to the wrong account or the wrong page, not a broken code.

  • Wrong account. The email you sign in with on the website must be the one that holds the subscription. A subscription sitting on a different email won’t show up.
  • Wrong page for your provider. Provider subscriptions (Xfinity, Spectrum, T-Mobile) activate through their own links, shown in the table above.
  • Stale code. If you left the TV screen or the code keeps failing, back out and choose Sign In again so the TV shows a fresh code.
  • Typos in the address. Type paramountplus.com yourself rather than clicking a search result.

That last point matters. Searching for this page turns up lots of look-alike “activate” sites on free page builders and help-desk tools that have nothing to do with Paramount. Only enter your password on paramountplus.com, or on your provider’s own site if they bill you. For account problems, the official Paramount+ Help Center is the place to go.

Frequently asked questions

Is paramountplus.com/activate free to use?

Yes. Entering the code costs nothing, but you need an active Paramount+ subscription on the account you sign in with, or the TV will sign in to an account with nothing to watch.

Do I need a computer to activate Paramount+ on my TV?

No. A phone or tablet browser works fine. You can also skip the code completely by choosing to sign in on the TV and typing your email and password with the remote.

Why does the Paramount+ app say my package doesn’t include it?

That message usually means you signed in through the wrong route, such as a TV provider whose plan doesn’t include the Paramount+ app. Sign in with the Paramount+ account that’s actually billed, or use your provider’s own activation link.

Is Paramount+ available outside the United States with the same activation page?

Apple’s US App Store listing says use of that app is limited to the United States. Paramount+ runs separate services in other countries, so use the sign-in option your local app shows.

Can I use paramountplus.com/activate on an old Apple TV?

The current Paramount+ app on Apple’s App Store requires tvOS 18.0 or later as of October 2026, so older Apple TV models that can’t update may not run it.
